Wireless Congress: NB-IoT power saving and cloud connectivity in practice

Speech by Lyn Matten at the Wireless Congress in Munich on November 14, 2018 at 12:00 in session 5 regarding the topic of "NB-IoT power saving and cloud connectivity in practice"

NB-IoT has arrived in daily IoT business. Telco providers around the entire world use their NB-IoT and/or CAT M1 networks. Deutsche Telekom was the pioneer in Germany and began using NB-IoT in June 2017. However, the technology is immature, and many questions still remain unanswered. mm1 Technology was one of the first companies that has worked within Deutsche Telekom’s NB-IoT network and supported integration in its back-end and cloud system. In his speech, Lyn Matten provides an overview of the current NB-IoT situation in Germany and explains the findings from prototypes and developments with a focus on energy-efficient approaches and flexible integration into several cloud systems.

The Wireless Congress is one of the most important rendezvous points for the wireless community and a well-established platform for wireless professionals - researchers, developers and application engineers.
