Internet of Things
Whether it’s a freight container, heating thermostat, production robots, supermarket shelves or blood pressure monitor, more and more objects connect to the internet of things (IoT) and are able to use integrated sensors and network connections to collect data and to communicate. New, intelligent business processes, products and services are emerging in nearly all industries – connected business, to be precise.
At this year's MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona, Europe's largest mobile communications fair with more than 2,400 vendors, everything revolved around 5G. Together with the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data, the new network generation formed the basis for this year's motto: Intelligent Connectivity.
As every year, mm1 presents the most important trends and results.
